The Food for Health Equity Lab in the Stanford School of Medicine is seeking a Social Science Research Professional 3 to support community-based participatory research aimed at examining programs that address food insecurity and chronic disease in collaboration with diverse academic and community partners. This position will involve working closely with the PI and Executive Director to oversee three large scale projects including two federally-funded randomized controlled trials. Responsibilities will include IRB management, overseeing data collection and intervention implementation, coordinating the Community Advisory Board, and reporting to funders. This will include supervising a team of approximately 6-7 staff. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing qualitative methods to assess the potential for implementation and dissemination of interventions using implementation science framework.

Duties include:

• Assist principal investigators with designing community-based participatory research projects; conducting community-based randomized controlled trials that may involve coordinating a complex experimental protocol.
• Independently identify/modify tracking procedures for ensuring that all studies are executed rigorously and in compliance with established milestones.
• Independently lead all qualitative data collection and analysis using implementation science frameworks
• Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams including diverse academic and community partners
• Co-author all or sections of a report for publication or professional presentation with the work being reviewed by the principal investigator or faculty.
• Present ongoing work and findings to colleagues at academic conferences.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator to design a research approach of a project and/or integrate results of the entire project.
• Complete project-related administrative and budgetary responsibilities of a limited scope as needed.
• Formally supervise and train new staff or students, including hiring, performance management, and related duties, in addition to instruction on techniques and consultation on project work.

The expected pay range for this position is $93,062 to $111,670 per annum.
